This stone is also called “the red stone” by the locals, because this type of stone does not naturally exist in this area. It is believed to have been imported from Venice. It is known that it served the Pasha for mounting his horse.
According to Dr. Prof. Pavle Mijović, the stone was also used for displaying slaves who were being sold at that time.
