The fountain with steps was established in the 17th century and for several centuries served the citizens of Ulcinj. It was covered with asphalt road in 1980, but after a period of inactivity, and thanks to the initiative and proposal of the Municipality of Ulcinj, it was reopened on April 30, 2009. This step marked an important revival of its function in serving the public and preserving the cultural heritage of the city.
